About The Event
Mike Dugdale, a founding board member of Indy Chess and great guy, lost everything in a house fire a couple weeks ago. We're coming together to help support him as a chess community!
THERE IS NOT ENTRY FEE! But we do ask participants and friends to contribute as able to a GoFundMe for Mike Dugdale at https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-mike-dugdale-after-house-fire?lid=4uq0fo299s34&utm_source=product&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=TXN_donation_alert&utm_content=internal (recommended donation is $20, but everything helps). You do not need to attend to donate!
Check-in is 6-6:15pm, and games start at 6:30pm (subsequent rounds begin immediately after prior round). The event will be one OPEN section for up to 40 people. This is a USCF-rated blitz tournament, with six double rounds (12 games total) of a 3 minute + 2-second increment time control. There will be some complimentary food in the Skittles room. If there is interest in an unrated casual section, we can hold that too.
