Spring Mill Elementary School Registration
Thank you for your interest in chess club at Spring Mill Elementary School! Indy Chess is excited to offer this program on Tuesday afternoons beginning September 22nd, 2026 until December 15, 2026 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. The program will not meet on days when school is not in session. Students in grades 2nd to 5th grade are eligible to participate. The program will meet in the Discovery Center, and students can be picked up at the Door 2 when it ends or dismissed to AYS. The cost is $129 for the entire semester and includes workbook materials. Up to six spots are reserved at no cost for students on public assistance (e.g., SNAP). To apply for a scholarship spot, just fill out form and choose the "Pay Offline" option at checkout. Questions? The club will be taught by Ryan McCrea. Coach Ryan is a 1900+ USCF-rated chess player (top 30 in the state), led the 6th grade team from University Elementary (Bloomington) to win the state team championship in 2026, and has a Master's of the Arts from Indiana University Bloomington.
