Thank you for your interest in the Chess Program at H.L. Harshman Middle School. Indy Chess is excited to partner to offer this program on Thursday mornings beginning September 10 until December 17, 2026 from 8:00am to 8:45am in the Cafeteria. Students should enter through Door 8 (behind the school; knock on cafeteria window if late). Students in 6th to 8th grade are eligible to participate, and no prior chess knowledge is needed!  There is no cost to register, though families may support these Title I school efforts by donating at indychess.org/donate.  Questions?  Email Jerika@indychess.org.  The chess club will be taught by Indy Chess club champion Coach Mike Gant, who is in the top 80 rated players in the state of Indiana and has taught chess for 30+ years in Indianapolis!​
