Tuesday Weekly weekly rated tournaments are changing!  From Oct. 14 to Nov. 25, Fall Leagues (registration is closed) will take the place of the weekly Tuesday rated tournament.  Adult Casual and the Kids' Workshop sections will still be open each Tuesday!  Starting Tuesday, Dec. 2, Tuesday Weekly's rated room will be an ongoing Swiss with one 60+30 game per week.  There will be set sections (e.g., 1400-1800), and you can play any week you like with walk-in or online registration the same day.  If you don't show a week, or two, or even three, you're just given zero points byes, so there is no long-term obligation like a league.  You just come when you can some Tuesday for a rated 60+30 game.  The monthly Swiss is rated and restarted at the end of each month, so it will be 4 or 5 rounds.  So...Tuesday becomes the day to play long time control games, and the top section (1800+) will even be FIDE-rated (provided at least one player is FIDE-rated in the match)!

The weekly rated tournament (a 3-round Swiss, with 25+5 time control) will move to Fridays starting November 7.  You can register for those events below, and careful to note the location because it is not the Latvian Center! (It's at St. Paul's (6050 N Meridian) in November, then moves to a new location in December--both near the Latvian Center.
