Thank you for your interest in chess club at Clearwater Elementary School! Indy Chess is excited to offer this program on Thursday afternoons beginning September 3, 2026 until December 17, 2026 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. The program will not meet on days when school is not in session.  Students in grades 2nd to 5th grade are eligible to participate. The program will meet in the Library, and students can be picked up at the Door 1 when it ends.  The cost is $139 for the entire semester and includes workbook materials.  Up to six spots are reserved at no cost for students on public assistance (e.g., SNAP).  To apply for a scholarship spot, just fill out form and choose the "Pay Offline" option at checkout. Jerika is a 1500+ USCF-rated chess player, recently taught at the Memphis Chess Center, ran the Arkansas State Chess Championship, and has a Master's in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
