Thank you for your interest in Chess Club at Northview Middle School! Indy Chess is excited to offer this program on Mondays 4:40pm - 5:40pm from September 14 through December 14th.

Students in grades 6th to 8th grade are eligible to participate, and the club meets in the 6th Grade LGI Room. Students will be dismissed to the 6h grade LGI room at 4:25pm and do independent study until 4:40pm supervised by the coaches. Car riders will be picked up at 5:40pm at Door 12 and bus riders will be supervised till boarding the afterschool bus at approximately 6:00pm.

The cost is $149 per semester, which includes workbook materials.  Scholarships: Students on public assistance (or in other financial need) may use coupon code NORTHVIEWSCHOLARSHIP at checkout for 100% off the registration fee.  [You may be asked to provide documentation at a later date.]  Questions?  Email info@indychess.org.

The chess club will be led by Coach Jerika Eppel, a full-time coach with Indy Chess.  She is a 1500+ USCF-rated player, an accomplished tournament director having run the Arkansas State Championship last year, and she earned a Master's in Education from Johns Hopkins University.  There will be a maximum 18:1 student-to-coach ratio.​
