Thank you for your interest in the Chess Team at St. Monica Catholic School! Students in grades 2nd to 8th grade are eligible to participate. Indy Chess is excited to coach and coordinate the chess team with the following schedule:

• Practices on Monday afternoons beginning August 18, 2025 until December 16, 2025 from 3:00pm to 4:15pm.  Practices will only be held on days that school is in session.

• CYO Matches are Wednesdays, October 1 to November 5 at various schools.

• CYO Team Tournament is Saturday, November 8 at Lumen Christi School in downtown Indianapolis.

The cost is $129 per semester to cover coaching and supplies, plus a $50 CYO Chess fee direct billed by St. Monica and paid to CYO.  Up to eight need-based scholarships are available for students on public like Medicaid, SNAP, HCV, etc. (just choose "pay offline" when checking out below).  Parent volunteers will be needed to coordinate transportation and supervision at CYO matches and the tournament.  Email info@indychess.org if you are willing to be the parent coordinator for the six-week season.
