Thank you for your interest in Chess Club at Girls in STEM Academy!  Indy Chess is excited to offer this program on Thursday afternoons beginning January 16, 2025 until May , 2025 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm in the school lobby.  The club will not meet on days that school is not in session (e.g., spring break).  Students in grades 2nd to 6th grade are eligible to participate.  There is no cost to register thanks to some limited grant funding Indy Chess received to help kids that qualify for free/reduced lunch, but parents/guardians able may make a free will offering of any amount at indychess.org/donate if they choose (for reference, the workbooks cost $15 and this program is valued at $129/semester at schools with no grant funding).  Questions?  Email info@indychess.org.  The chess club will be taught by USCF-certified chess instructor Mike Gant, who has 30+ years experience coaching chess, include some national championship teams!
